These webinars are designed for plastics executives and executives from related industries who deal with administrative and business issues in the areas of new technologies. Webinars will cover plastics 101 type introductions for non plastics personnel or for people new to the industry. Also, webinars on the latest news in emerging technologies such as bioplastics, nanopolymers, conductive polymers will be offered. On-site Training The Plastics Institute of America (PIA), in collaboration with Division of Continuing Education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, offers a series of modules to provide on-site employee training to enhance the knowledge, understanding and skills of mechanics and other technical staff working primarily with plastics. UML/PIA Seminars From time to time The Plastics Institute of America, Inc. and the UMass Lowell's Division of Continuing Education jointly sponsor a series of seminars. These seminars are designed for plastics executives and executives from related industries who deal with administrative and business issues in the areas of new technologies. UMASS Lowell Graduate Plastics Courses Plastics are said to be the most versatile materials on Earth. UMASS Lowell has the only accredited undergraduate Plastics Engineering Program in the United States, as well as a research-oriented graduate program. Plastics Engineering graduate courses are currently open to students that have earned a B.S. Degree in science or engineering. This program is particularly popular amongst engineers involved in manufacturing and those interested in pursuing graduate studies in Plastics Engineering.
